📖 KOSync Setup

Sync your reading progress across KOReader devices

What is KOSync?

KOSync syncs your reading position across multiple devices running KOReader. Start reading on your e-reader, continue on your phone or tablet.

What is Beehive?

Beehive is my home server. I host KOSync here, and if you want you can use it to. I back it up regularly and all I can see of your data is your chosen username and the amount of entries you have in the database, but not the books you are reading.

Setup in KOReader

Open KOReader on your device
Go to Tools → Progress sync
Tap Custom sync server
Enter the server address:
https://kosync.loesel.me
Tap Register (first time) or Login
Enter your username and password

Note: KOSync uses its own user accounts, separate from Beehive login. You can register your own account directly in KOReader.

Usage

Auto-sync: Progress syncs automatically when opening/closing books
Manual sync: Tools → Progress sync → Push/Pull progress
Pull: Get progress from server (when switching devices)
Push: Send progress to server
